Descripción

Wellbeing and Ethics of Animals in Shelters provides an up-to-date, all-in-one resource for animal care and shelter professionals seeking the latest guidance on improving sheltered animals’ quality of life. Central chapters review health and behavioral assessments for shelter animals, offer guidance for the care of shelter cats and dogs, and discuss key steps to the successful adoption of sheltered animals. Latter chapters explore the human component of shelter animal care. The book is an accessible and important resource for animal care and shelter professionals, animal welfare researchers, and students of animal behavior, biology, and veterinary sciences.
