Unlocking the Value of Business Intelligence Applications in Construction: From Digitalisation to Data-Driven Processes reviews and evaluates the major the challenges faced in the lifecycle delivery and management of construction projects. The role of business intelligence (BI) in overcoming these challenges is examined. The book covers the different applications of BI in the different phases of a project lifecycle. Following this, it reviews the applications of BI and how it can be integrated with other emerging technologies, such as AI, Machine Learning, Deep Learning and generative AI in construction. The various applications are illustrated using workflows to facilitate understanding. Applications of BI and/or BI integrated with related technologies are presented as case studies or real-life projects.

Dr Abanda is a Reader in Construction Informatics and conducts research with the Oxford Institute for Sustainable Development in Oxford Brookes University. He is a Chartered Engineer, holds an HDR in Digital Construction Technology (Institut National Polytechnique de Toulouse, France) and a PhD in Construction IT (Oxford Brookes University, UK). His teaching and research interests are: the Semantic Web, BIM, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine and Deep Learning and Digital Twins applications in construction

Selorm Emmanuel Adukpo
Dr Adukpo is a Lecturer in Commercial and Value Management and the Deputy Programme Leader for the MSc Construction Project Management at the University College London (UCL) where he is involved with teaching, research and knowledge transfer in the domain of construction project management. Dr Adukpo’s research interests are primarily in the areas of Infrastructure Project Delivery, Project Owner and Operator Capabilities for procuring and delivering projects, Governance of Projects, Organisational Design, Digital Capabilities for Client Organisations, Sustainability, and Policy Implications in the construction industry

He is a Chartered Construction Manager (MCIOB) and Surveyor with a PhD in Construction Informatics (Witwatersrand, SA).
