Network Pharmacology: Exploring New Horizons in Drug Discovery explores the innovative network pharmacology approach—which examines the intricate interactions between disease targets and metabolites—offering a systems-based perspective that is essential for modern drug discovery. Readers will find in-depth discussions on metabolite databases, computational tools, and the role of natural products in drug discovery. Notable topics include network-based approaches to drug repurposing, personalized medicine, and the implications of traditional medicine in pharmacological research, all supported by real-world case studies and advanced computational methodologies.
By integrating multiomics data, including metabolite profiling, the book addresses the limitations of conventional methods and opens new pathways for understanding disease mechanisms and therapeutic responses. This is a foundational guide for researchers, pharmaceutical scientists, and academic scholars across diverse fields such as pharmacology, metabolomics, and systems biology.
