Flavio Manoel Rodrigues da Silva Júnior
Flavio Manoel Rodrigues da Silva Junior is an Associate Professor at the Federal University of Rio Grande (FURG) and the President of the Brazilian Society of Ecotoxicology (2019-2025). He coordinates the Postgraduate Program in Health Sciences at FURG and leads the Laboratory of Pharmacological and Toxicological Assays, where he oversees research groups focused on Environmental Health. He also coordinates the Southern Air Project, a Brazilian initiative assessing air pollution issues in southern Brazil. His research addresses air pollution, environmental contamination, and their health impacts, with multiple projects funded by government research funding agencies. Flavio holds a PhD in Physiological Sciences from FURG carried out in partnership with the University of Lisbon.

Ronan Adler Tavella
Ronan Adler Tavella is a postdoctoral researcher in the ARIES Project at the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP) and coordinates the "Air Pollution: Environmental and Health Impacts" Working Group at the Brazilian Society of Ecotoxicology. He is affiliated with the Laboratory of Economics, Health, and Environmental Pollution (LESPA) at UNIFESP, where his research investigates the relationship between air pollution and health and environmental outcomes. He holds a PhD in Health Sciences from the Federal University of Rio Grande (FURG) and has postdoctoral experience at the Federal University of Espírito Santo (UFES), where he focused on ecotoxicology. His expertise includes the application of advanced methods, such as data science and machine learning, to evaluate the health and environmental impacts of atmospheric pollutants.
